As an Author

Jack has published three novels of historical fiction:

The Judge’s Lawyer (2020)

The culture and politics of 1981 Miami serve as the background for this legal drama. When a judge shoots and kills a prominent Cuban exile in front of dozens of horrified witnesses, but refuses to explain his actions, his attorney must call on contacts from his former CIA career to uncover the judge’s motive. Will it be enough to keep the judge off death row?

How Many Angels (2024)

Against an accurate description of the Iran-Contra affair, which occurred during President Reagan’s administration, one current and one former CIA officer wrestle with the consequences of events that shaped their lives and careers. The story combines courtroom drama, CIA operations, political history and ultimately, love.

The Flower Man’s Daughter (2010)

A rookie CIA officer encounters adventure and danger during the days leading up to the violent coup that toppled Chile’s socialist president, Salvador Allende, in 1973. Ultimately, he must make a life and death decision that could change his life forever. The story details CIA recruiting, training and operations and explores national security issues still relevant today.
